FREE Family Art Days at ART 101! Look for the Giant Bird seven miles south of Bandon!

Bring the family to Art 101 every weekend 1 - 5 pm and enjoy making art together!

ART 101 WILL HAVE THE CRAFT AREA open in the back room with fun supplies to make cards, collages, ornaments. Gather your family around the table and get a head start on making Christmas presents for everyone! Selected supplies will be free with additional items for sale. All children must be supervised by parents.

IN THE PURPLE YURT NEXT DOOR TO ART 101, THE WASHED ASHORE PROJECT will be running a free community workshop every Saturday from 2 - 5. Come make a giant blue jellyfish that will spin in the wind! Soon, a giant crab and coral reef will be in the works.....all made from marine debris found on our beaches.

ARTISTIC RESALE STORE raises money for the "Washed Ashore" project.

Artula Institute for Arts and Environmental Education has a unique Thrift Store inside Art 101, called Artistic Resale. All purchases of gently used artistic items helps support the Washed Ashore project.

Donations are greatly appreciated and gladly accepted during open hours, Thursday - Sunday 1 - 5.

Carefully selected second hand handmade items, artwork and artistically designed household items are offered at affordable prices and help a good cause.

ART 101's mission is to offer ART FOR ALL! We offer wheelchair accessible facilities,

arts education scholarships, senior citizen discounts, artistic opportunities for everyone.

ART 101 offers beginning to advanced art workshops and classes.

We host various art events throughout the year in collaboration with Artula Retreat.

You will also find an art reference library for teachers, students and artists. Come and browse through art books, enjoy the gallery and relax with fine beverages, desserts, and chocolates.

Fine Chocolates and a variety of Fog Mountain espresso truffles . Try our locally

GALLERY

In the GALLERY you will enter the magical world of the “Bioluminescent Sea Cave” and view other sea sculptures by Angela Haseltine Pozzi. ART 101 student shows and juried theme exhibits will highlight Northwest Artists. Exhibits will often correlate with art workshop themes, techniques and spotlight the instructors currently connected with Art 101 and Artula Retreat.

ART MAKING FOR ALL

We are a wheelchair accessible facility and welcome everyone of any ability or age. Drop in for an hour of art making and experiment with the unique recycled products of “Creative Art Supplies” or buy supplies to take home. Attend the Sunday Family Art Day or enroll in a Beginners Again adult class to inspire your creative side. Attend our weekly Art Night Out for an artfully sweet evening of live music, creativity and chocolate indulgence.

KID and TEACHER FRIENDLY

We welcome children of any age to ART 101 and offer many classes and workshops for young aspiring artists. We invite children to come and create with their parents during Sunday Family Art Days and drop in for art making any time. We require that parents stay with their children and supervise them at all times, unless they are registered for a class. You will find unusual Creative Art Supplies, which are appropriate for ages 4 and up.

We encourage school field trips and can offer tours and workshops for students of all ages. Angela Haseltine Pozzi has an extensive background in arts education and will be offering summer workshops for teachers for credit hours. We also enjoy working with home school groups. We welcome the shy about art, the novice, the amateur and the professional artist. We encourage everyone from everywhere to come and join us at ART 101. We believe in making connections and thinking outside the box. We are looking forward to becoming a vital part of the art scene on the Southwestern Oregon Coast and

growing with the community needs.

Artula Retreat is the umbrella organization for Art 101 and offers artists of all disciplines a wide array of opportunities, including workshops, residencies and events.
